Early Life and Musical Journey
Mollie B was born as Mollie Busta in 1979 in small-town Minnesota.
Now 44 years old, she grew up immersed in music. Her father had his band, the Jim Busta Band, which frequently rehearsed in the family’s home. Young Mollie composed original songs and arranged music for her father’s band, her school band, and her choir from a very early age.

Mollie has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music and education. She received a B.A. in trumpet and voice from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where her senior paper was focused on polka music.
